Saki Fujita (voice of Hatsune Miku)
Sakiko Fujita (born October 19, 1984), better known mononymously as Saki Fujita, is a Japanese voice actress from Tokyo. She is currently affiliated with the talent agency Arts Vision. She is best known for providing the vocal sampling for Hatsune Miku , a character in the VOCALOID synthesis software None.
History
In April 2003, Fujita joined the Japan Narration Institute. In October of that year, she won the Special Jury Prize at the final competition of the "VOICE ARTIST & SINGER AUDITION" "VS Audition 2003" which was sponsored by Pony Canyon. From April 2004 to July 2006, she was a second-generation reporter for "Anime TV" in the report "College students who want to be a voice actor." In 2005, Fujita auditioned for the heroine of the anime "SPEED GRAPHER" but ultimately lost.
In September 2005, Sakiko Fujita changed her name to her stage name Saki Fujita. In 2006, she was cast in the lead role of the anime "Tsuyokisu CoolxSweet."
After graduating from university in March 2007, she was chosen to voice Hatsune Miku, the singing voice synthesis software VOCALOID2 . On September 24, 2008, she made her singing debut with the single "Crystal Quartz." After that, she graduated from the Japan Narration Institute and officially joined Arts Vision.
Saki and Hatsune Miku
After becoming the voice of the Hatsune Miku phenomenon in 2007, Fujita became a household name not only in her native Japan but also around the world. She has stated that she admires the character and loves her fans for producing such a diverse range of music and artwork and considers her role as Hatsune Miku essential to the success of her career. Fujita still provides narration for all official Hatsune Miku commercials, including new game announcements, collaboration events, and concert announcements. Fujita has appeared on stage at several Hatsune Miku concerts for a Q&A session with the audience, as well as a general discussion about what Vocaloid means to her. When she's not on stage, she freely roams the grounds and is always willing to speak directly to fans.
About Saki
Fujita has several nicknames, including "Sakkii" , "Saki-chan", "Saki-nee", "Nyahin", "Atsuhime", and "Sakinnu". Some of his closest voice actors include Eri Kato, Kaori Fukuhara, Yui Makino, and Misato Fukutomi.
On August 22, 2006, Fujita opened his blog , "Saki Fuji's Electric Garden," to the public. The blog's content is categorized and then given a unique color. For example, his collection of sky photos has a blueish tint to the page.
She has a great mastery of Japanese calligraphy. In January 2007, she wrote her aspirations and "kanji of the day" using her calligraphy skills.
She has very good eyesight but sometimes wears glasses, depending on the occasion. For example, a blog post from December 20, 2008, showed her wearing the type of glasses one would wear to a costume party instead of her usual glasses. This post proved very popular with her fans because it showed how she could change her behavior so elegantly with just a simple change in her choice of glasses.
Fujita enjoys baseball and is a fan of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks. Growing up, his family was very involved in the sport, with his mother being a fan of the Yomiuri Giants. His father, however, didn't have a favorite team at the time, but he often watched games with the family. He eventually became a fan of the Hanshin Tigers, and with his parents' encouragement, Fujita began following the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks.
She is also a big fan of the pop group GARNET CROW. Following the group's disbandment in 2013, she appeared on a Nico Nico Douga broadcast with AKB48 member Sumire Satou to discuss the news.
She is an avid gamer and is known to be a regular player of the game "KanColle." She often posts blog posts or tweets about her progress in regular events, with overwhelming support from her fans, who also provide tips on how to complete events.
Saki and the anime
She always loved anime as a child, and when she was in her 3rd year of high school, watching the ONE PIECE movie with her close friend, she was fascinated by how Digimon Adventures: Our War Game. She watched visually and rented all the videos of the TV series, watching them one after another. She bought the "WonderSwan" game console just to play Digimon and proclaimed to her friends that she wanted to go to the Digimon World and be a part of it. Her dream came true when, on March 17, 2016, she was cast as the female lead character Shiki for the Digimon World -next order- anime series.
In 2017, Fujita landed the role of Yukari Kotozume in the popular Kirakira Pretty Cure series after her third audition. She had previously played the role of Chieri in Go! Princess Pretty Cure . Before landing these roles, she was regularly found mentioning that she would enjoy participating in the magical girl anime series, stating, "I want to be someone who leaves her mark on the Pretty Cure series!" Her manager then helped her adjust her schedule so she could focus on Pretty Cure.
