Shanks One Piece - Figures
There is no series as well-known and beloved as One Piece , which first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump over two decades ago, in 1997. Today, the manga series has had over a thousand chapters serialized. Given that the series has such a large and dedicated fanbase, it is no surprise that One Piece offers an equally large and diverse selection of merchandise for fans to collect. One such type of merchandise is the collectible figure, which recreates many of the series' fan-favorite characters. Shanks is a particularly popular character because he inspired Luffy to one day set sail and become a pirate. Particularly popular Shanks figures include the "Ichibansho Figure One Piece Legends Over Time Shanks & Buggy," the "One Piece Master Stars Piece: Shanks," and the "One Piece Dramatic Showcase -4th Season- Vol. 1."

About Shanks
Shanks is one of the Four Emperors and the main inspiration behind Luffy 's becoming a pirate. Here's a brief overview of his character.
Background
When Shanks was young, he was apprenticed to the infamous Roger Pirates on their final voyage to the end of the Grand Line. He and another apprentice, Buggy, sailed with Gol D. Roger and his crew to many different islands until they arrived at Zou. There, Buggy fell ill, and Shanks decided to stay with Buggy before the rest of the crew completed their journey. Shanks would later form the Red-Hair Pirates and become one of the Four Emperors, demonstrating just how powerful he had become since his apprenticeship.
Special Abilities
As a former member of the Roger Pirates and one of the Four Emperors, Shanks is renowned as one of the most powerful pirates in One Piece , despite lacking any Devil Fruit abilities. During the Battle of Marineford, Admiral Akainu fought Luffy, Portgas D. Ace , and several of Whitebeard's division commanders, but did not dare attempt to confront Shanks in combat, ending the conflict. Shanks also has the skill and power to take on the other Four Emperors and, at his peak, was strong enough to be one of Dracule Mihawk's only rivals. He is also proficient in all three types of Haki, making him an even more formidable opponent.
Other important characters in One Piece
Two characters who have a significant connection to Shanks are Kaido and Whitebeard.
Kaido
Kaido is the captain of the Beast Pirates and one of the Four Emperors. He is known as the strongest creature, both for his incredible physical strength and near-indestructibility. Before the Battle of Marineford, Kaido attempted to stop the Whitebeard Pirates from rescuing Ace, but Shanks and his crew intervened and allowed Whitebeard to pass. While the precise nature of the encounter is largely unknown, Shanks was later found to be unharmed, indicating that in the event of a battle, he could easily fend off the Beast Pirates.
Edward Newgate
Edward Newgate , also known as Whitebeard, is another member of the Four Emperors. Unlike Kaido and Big Mom, the relationship between Whitebeard and Shanks is much more neutral. Although they are technically enemies, Shanks has gone so far as to interfere with Kaido's attempts to prevent Whitebeard from reaching Marineford. Additionally, Shanks warned Whitebeard of the potential threat Blackbeard could pose if he were left unchecked.
