SSSS.Gridman is a Japanese anime television series that is an adaptation of Denkou Choujin Gridman. This production is actually a joint collaboration between two different production companies, Tsuburaya Productions and Trigger. The original broadcast of this anime television series ran from October to December 2018. The original tokusatsu series, Denkou Choujin Gridman, originally aired as a television show from 1993 to 1994. History of the SSSS.Gridman series

The story of SSSS.Gridman takes place in the fictional Japanese city of Tsutsujidai. It centers on Yuta Hibiki, a first-year high school student with amnesia. Inside an old computer, Yuta meets Hyper Agent Gridman, who tells him he has a mission to complete. Yuta then sets out to find the meaning of Hyper Agent Gridman's words and regain his lost memory. Along the way, giant monsters suddenly appear and truly show Yuta what he's dealing with. He is able to merge with Gridman and fight the monsters, but after the attack, everyone's memories are reset. From then on, Yuta and his friends fight to stop the monsters and find out what's really going on.

Development of the SSSS.Gridman series

SSSS.Gridman was written and directed by Akira Amemiya and written by Keiichi Hasegawa. It is an anime adaptation of the live-action series, Denkou Choujin Gridman. Its predecessor aired on the Tokyo Broadcasting System from April 1993 to January 1994. SSSS.Gridman drew inspiration from both this series and its Western adaptation, and combined the two to create the anime series. The SSSS.Gridman series originally aired from October 2018 to December 2018. It was initially announced at Anime Expo 2017.
