Supporting Japanese Voice Actors - Dragon Ball

Takeshi Aono

Another voice actor for Aoni Production, born on June 19, 1936, in Asahikawa, Hokkaido Prefecture. Although he had a fairly prolific voice acting career, when it came to the Dragon Ball series, he is known for voicing one of the main antagonists of the entire series, Piccolo, the evil king , as well as his good counterpart, Us . As he voiced Kami, Aono also voiced another minor character named Shen, a human possessed by Kami so he could participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament.

Takeshi Kusao

A voice actor for Aoni Production, born in Saitama Prefecture on November 20, 1965. In the Dragon Ball world, Aomori started out as the voice actor for Major Metallitron in the Red Ribbon Army arc, but would later voice Kibito (the Supreme Kaio's bodyguard) in Dragon Ball Z and Nature Shenron in Dragon Ball GT .

Shigeru Chiba

A voice actor for 81 Produce born in Kumamoto Prefecture on February 4, 1954. He began voicing Emperor Pilaf in Dragon Ball and later went on to voice Raditz , the first antagonist of Dragon Ball Z. He later voiced several other minor roles such as the TV version of Garlic Jr.

Hiroko Emori

Toru Furuya

A voice actor for Aoni Production born in Yokohama Prefecture on July 31, 1953. He is the voice of Yamcha in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Later, Furuya would voice a minor character named Puck who was introduced in the final episode of Dragon Ball GT. During Yamcha's fight with Tien, Furuya also sang an in-character song.

Banjo Ginga

A voice actor born in Kofu, Yamanishi Prefecture, on November 12, 1948, associated with Aoni Production. In Dragon Ball, he voices Bora and Colonel Silver of the Red Ribbon Army. Yasuhiko Kawazu

Like Hori, Kawazu is also a voice actor for Aoni Production who hails from the Tokyo metropolitan area, but was born on January 21, 1966. He has voiced several minor roles in Dragon Ball Z such as all the Great Apes (except Vegeta's Great Ape form), Caterpy, and Frog. In the Dragon Ball Kai dub, Kawazu voices Mr. Popo, replacing the late Toku Nishio.
