Tetsuro Araki Director - Attack on Titan

Tetsuro Araki is a Japanese animator, storyboard artist, and director born on November 5, 1976, in Sayama, Saitama Prefecture. Some of his works are also recorded under the pseudonym Saburo Mochizuki.

Biography

Araki graduated from Senshu University in Tokyo and began his animation career with Madhouse, though he eventually moved to Production IG and later Studio Wit. He made his directorial debut in 2005 with the original video animation Otogi-Jūshi Akazukin , though he is best known as the director of the anime adaptations of Attack on Titan, None , Death Note , and Highschool of the Dead . To date, Araki has also been the director of two original anime series, Guilty Crown in 2011 and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress in 2016.

  • Death Note (TV): He served as director and wrote the storyboards for four episodes, as well as the opening themes for seasons 1 and 2. He also directed episodes 1 and 37. Araki also wrote the lyrics for an insert song and worked on the animation for the opening themes.
