Tomoyo Daidouji Cardcaptor Sakura - Nendoroid

For over 25 years, CLAMP authors have dazzled magical girl fans with Cardcaptor Sakura . The main character, Sakura Kinomoto , won over manga readers with her positivity and adorable design. Sakura's biggest fan, her best friend, Tomoyo Daidouji , mirrored the public's reaction and amassed a sizable fanbase. Tomoyo appears in the majority of official Cardcaptor Sakura artwork, promotional materials, and merchandise. Tomoyo Daidouji also joined the Nendoroid family with her first release, "Nendoroid Tomoyo Daidouji."

About Tomoyo Daidouji

Tomoyo Daidouji is a supporting character in Cardcaptor Sakura. She is Sakura Kinomoto's best friend and one of the only characters who knows about her duty to collect Clow cards. Her favorite hobby is making costumes for Sakura and filming her magical adventures.

About Tomoyo Daidouji: Background

At the beginning of the series, Tomoyo is a fourth-grade student at Tomoeda Elementary School. She is a polite and composed child, known for her maturity and grace with adults. However, she shows a sillier side with Sakura, most notably due to her excitability when Sakura captures a Clow Card. Her unexpected frivolity regarding Clow Cards serves as the basis for her friendship with Kero-chan. Several times throughout the series, Tomoyo offers Sakura and the other characters insight and wisdom beyond her years. She is incredibly observant and recognizes the needs of others often before they realize it themselves.

Tomoyo comes from a wealthy family. Her mother is the president of a toy company and often gives Tomoyo prototypes of their products to use with Sakura. Tomoyo's father is never mentioned in the manga or anime. Unbeknownst to her and Sakura, Tomoyo's mother is Sakura's late mother's cousin.

About Tomoyo Daidouji: Abilities

Tomoyo excels in all her extracurricular activities. She does well in school and in her artistic pursuits. A recurring gag in the series involves Tomoyo revealing her advanced skill level compared to her elementary school peers. Her highly refined abilities are the result of her high-class education and resources. Tomoyo often covers up for Sakura's weaknesses, such as providing distractions with an elegant way of speaking to adults. She also uses her problem-solving abilities to help Sakura when she faces difficult cards.

Tomoyo's greatest strength is her singing ability. She is a star member of the school choir, often performing solos in competition. Her voice and talent serve as plot points several times throughout the anime. Some Clow Cards target Tomoyo to capture her voice. The anime-exclusive character, Meilin Li, also forms a one-sided rivalry with Tomoyo, which is played up for comedic effect.

Shaolan Li

Syaoran Li is the deuteragonist of Cardcaptor Sakura, introduced as Sakura's rival in capturing the Clow cards. He is a distant relative of Clow Reed from a powerful Hong Kong wizarding clan. He transfers to Sakura's school shortly after she releases the cards in order to rightfully claim them as his own.

Although Syaoran is initially disdainful of Sakura, he eventually warms to her due to her kindness and good nature. His relationship with Tomoyo is cordial at first. Tomoyo sees past Syaoran's hostility toward Sakura, discovering his feelings for her before realizing them. Especially during the Sakura Card arc, Tomoyo serves as Syaoran's confidant as he struggles to come to terms with his feelings.

Yukito Tsukishiro

Yukito Tsukishiro is a supporting character in Cardcaptor Sakura. He is Sakura's crush and a classmate of her older brother, Touya. Yukito treats Sakura and her friends with kindness and patience. He is naturally cheerful and energetic, though more reserved than Sakura due to his maturity. A recurring gag in the series is his insatiable appetite.

Tomoyo has a lot of respect for Yukito and appreciates his efforts to help Sakura. Despite her own feelings for Sakura, Tomoyo supports Sakura's crush and attempts at a relationship. During the Sakura Card arc, Tomoyo comforts Sakura about Yukito's physical condition and her feelings for her brother.
