Vash The Stampede Trigun - Figures
Trigun is a famous manga that debuted in the Weekly Shonen Captain magazine from 1995 to 1997, before being discontinued with only 3 tankobon volumes. The manga then resumed its serialization from 1997 to 2007 in the monthly magazine Young King OURs under the name "Trigun Maximum." Trigun The story follows the adventures of a pacifist gunfighter named Vash the Stampede and his struggles on the planet Gunsmoke with a bounty of $60,000,000,000 on his head. Vash chooses never to kill his opponents and because of this often finds himself in sticky situations. He meets insurance salesmen Meryl and Milly, the assassin priest Nicholas D. Wolfwood, and is on the path of revenge against his twin brother Knives. A great example of a Vash figure is Kotbukiya's "ArtFXJ Vash the Stampede Statue" by sculptor Tatsuya Hattori.

Kotobukiya offers a figure showcasing the incredible talent of master sculptor Tatsuya Hattori, the ArtFXJ Vash the Stampede statue, from the film adaptation "Trigun: Badlands Rumble." Vash wears his signature red leather jacket ripped into rough strips revealing his thighs, encased in skin-tight black leather pants with armor padding secured with screws and bolts. His boots, also leather, have a large steel toe cap with three large screw-like pieces. Holding a pistol at arm's length and seemingly ready to fire, Vash strikes a shooting pose, with his robotic left arm held back for balance. His spiked, spiky blond hair is balanced by deep emerald green eyes and an almost cheeky expression, typical of Vash the Stampede. The shine of the leather parts of Vash's clothing or armor is extremely well represented here as the paint job is excellent. Small details are also present, from the small buttons on Vash's jacket to the gun's trigger and his fingers. Nothing is overlooked here. Vash's striking pose is typical of the animation or drawing style of the series or manga, a very loose and fluid style.

About Vash The Stampede
Vash is the main character of Trigun. A human-plant hybrid infamously known as the "Humanoid Typhoon" due to the incident in July City that resulted in the instant death of over 200,000 people.
Background
Vash and his brother Knives are not humans, but rather a king of human-like plant species. They were both found aboard an abandoned SEEDs ship and were taken in and raised by a human woman named Rem. Within a year, the two have grown from infants to small children. The boys accidentally disrupt the ship's systems and awaken some of the sleeping passengers, allowing them to be discovered by Dr. William Conrad, who promises to keep their existence a secret. The boys then accidentally find a forbidden area containing the preserved remains of another plant, like themselves, who had been subjected to cancer-inducing scans and countless vivisections. Knives becomes comatose from shock, and Vash decides that humanity is his enemy. Vash attempts suicide due to loneliness but is saved by Rem, whom he injures in the process. He realizes his mistake and finds a new outlook on love and life. After Knives attempts to kill everyone by crashing the ship, the boys are sent into a space pod by Rem, who stays behind to try to save people, eventually dying herself. Vash and Knives then wander the planet Gunsmoke. Vash and Knives part ways after Vash is captured, and Knives kills everyone in the town to save him. Vash shoots Knives in the shoulder for the horrible things he has done, and Knives, in turn, cuts off Vash's left arm. Vash travels the planet alone until he encounters a group of humans living in a still-functional spaceship. They are the ones who give Vash his robotic arm. He lives with them in relative peace until the events of the July Incident, where Knives forces Vash's angel arm to activate and kills everyone in the town.
Special Abilities
As an independent plant, Vash is able to move much faster than humans, so much so that he can dodge bullets. He also has superhuman strength and a heightened IQ. The only special ability that sets Vash apart is the ability to transform weapons from his body, including a giant weapon from his arm called the "Angel Arm." The Angel Arm is capable of enormous amounts of destruction, even leveling an entire city in a single blast.
Other important characters in Trigun
Vash is generally seen as a loner from the beginning of the manga and anime. This is usually because he believes that those who get close to him will suffer tragic fates or be killed due to the catastrophic events he regularly seems involved in. One character who plays a very important role for Vash is Nicholas D. Wolfwood, who starts out as an enemy but eventually becomes a friend of sorts. The other character is his twin brother, Knives.
Nicolas D. Wolfwood
Wolfwood first appears as an assassin from the "Eye of Michael" order. He attempts to kill Knives but fails and is forced to escort Vash to Knives' base. He eventually kills other members of the order and is finally ordered to kill Vash or abandon the orphanage and its inhabitants. Wolfwood, viewing Vash as a friend, decides to fight his former master and the other members of the order instead. He is severely wounded during this battle and dies while having a drink with Vash.
Knives
Knives was born from the same plant as Vash. They both share the same powers and abilities, but the difference lies in their worldview. Knives hates humanity and wants to save all plants at all costs, even human lives. Vash, on the other hand, is the opposite, a complete pacifist. Vash never kills his opponents, and his body reflects this, often receiving damage he would have otherwise avoided had he ended the fight. Despite their difference of opinion, Knives still loves his brother Vash and wants nothing more than to work together to destroy humanity and save the lives of all plants.
