About Wilson Fisk

Wilson Fisk is the leader of a crime syndicate in New York City and even leads gangs on the West Coast. He is also an antagonist of Spider-Man and an archenemy of Daredevil, attempting to kill them both multiple times.

Background

Wilson Fisk came from humble beginnings, forcing him to turn to self-education to pursue his talents, namely bodybuilding and political science. Wilson Fisk realized at the age of fifteen that uniting the gangs would give him a path to power. After launching a drug war with his gang, he even joined the mafia and rose through the ranks. After conspiring with their other number two, Wilson Fisk took control of the family and became the Kingpin. Being "chubby" as a child, Fisk realized he needed to get in shape, so he became an Olympic-level weightlifter. He also focused his talents on the art of sumo wrestling, which allowed him to achieve almost superhuman levels of strength. Being intelligent, strong, and driven made Kingpin a horrific enemy, not to mention having connections throughout the government!

Special Abilities

Wilson Fisk had incredible strength, to the point where he could crush people's heads with little effort. In addition to his strength, he was a martial arts master in several different disciplines such as sumo, judo, and hapkido. He is also a criminal mastermind, employing anyone he can, even superhumans! They all obey his orders, either for the money and connections he has, or simply out of fear.

Other important characters in Daredevil

Wilson Fisk has many relationships in the comics and on the TV series. Many are bad for the other person, but a few are good. Here are some people who survived when their paths crossed with the Kingpin.

Daredevil

Of course, the protagonist and antagonist of a story are bound to meet, but the relationship between these two is truly complex. It all starts with the Kingpin using Daredevil to pave the way for his new team to rise. The Kingpin was about to leave the world of crime when someone kidnapped his wife and killed her. Wilson Fisk then re-entered the game. However, instead of passing on the information he had on the other crime lords to the government, he passed it on to Daredevil. Daredevil then did what he does best: beat them up and exposed them. It was later that the Kingpin learned that Daredevil was a lawyer who had stopped one of the Kingpin's schemes during their city's mayoral race! So the Kingpin hired Elektra to kill Daredevil's associate, which ultimately led to her death.

Electra

Elektra is the Kunoichi of New York. She is the daughter of the Greek ambassador to America and is a hitman. Although he disagrees with her career choice, Elektra and Daredevil have strong feelings for each other, even becoming lovers. However, her career was cut short shortly after she was hired as the Kingpin's chief hitman. She replaced Bullseye, who was going crazy, which Bullseye was not pleased about. Elektra was sent on a mission to kill Daredevil's law partner, which she was unable to accomplish because she knew him. While she was on this mission, Bullseye caught up with her and killed her.

Spiderman

Spiderman was one of Wilson Fisk's first opponents and was usually able to defeat or stop Wilson Fisk. However, during Spiderman's many fights, he decided to retire, which Wilson took advantage of. Wilson Fisk gathered all the mafia groups in the country as well as many villains from New York City. They were about to cause the biggest crime wave ever seen. Of course, then Spiderman came out of retirement and stopped Wilson Fisk's plan in its tracks. This was probably the biggest stop to Wilson Fisk's plans that Spiderman had ever made.

Target

Bullseye was once the Kingpin's personal assassin, but his inability to defeat Daredevil caused the Kingpin to choose Elektra instead. What was Bullseye's response? He simply killed Elektra, and he did it with a playing card Elektra had in her sai. Bullseye is a mercenary for hire who specializes in two things: throwing objects at incredible speeds and being insane. Being insane actually helped him as he worked alongside the Kingpin and continued to kill and become rich and feared.
