Zenitsu Agatsuma Demon Slayer - Figures

The Demon Slayer series began as a manga serialization that was printed in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016 and quickly exploded in popularity after the Ufotable anime adaptation aired on television in April 2019. In order to satisfy fans' desire for merchandise, a myriad of different figurines have been produced, the majority of which have been inspired by the main characters. One such character is Zenitsu Agatsuma , a friend and teammate of the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado. Fans will be able to find over a dozen different Zenitsu figurines, presented in a variety of sizes, poses, and prices. Three of these figures include the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma Premium Perching Figure," the "ConoFig Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma," and the "Look Up Series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma."

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma Premium Perched Figure

This particular figure depicts Zenitsu in a seated position with his feet dangling over the edge as he enjoys one of the rice balls placed on his lap. His face displays expressions of joy, gratitude, and satisfaction, likely suggesting that he has been looking forward to this meal for some time. As Zenitsu holds his partially eaten rice ball in front of him, one can notice the small sparrow, Zenitsu's Kasugai crow, also perched on his head. Like many other depictions of the character, this Zenitsu figure features him wearing his standard Demon Slayer outfit. This costume consists of the standardized black and white Demon Slayer uniform, which is covered in Zenitsu's unique yellow and orange haori. The figure itself stands just under 15 cm tall and is made of PVC. A notable feature unique to this figure is that it is designed to be displayed on the edge of a desk, table, or other flat surface.

ConoFig Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma figurine

Unlike the previous figure, this figure from Aniplex's ConoFig line features Zenitsu in a much more dynamic and action-packed pose. Rather than sitting down and enjoying a meal, this rendition of Zenitsu shows him standing on one leg with the other raised to his thigh. One of his hands grips the scabbard of his Nichirin blade as he prepares to draw it with the other. This figure's expression is rather neutral, and Zenitsu's eyes are closed as if he is intently concentrating on his next move. Zenitsu's haori is also seen billowing behind him, further adding to the figure's dynamic pose. All of these features point to this figure recreating Zenitsu when he uses his devastating Thunder Breath technique, a fan-favorite moment from the series that is much appreciated for showing how incredibly powerful the otherwise cowardly Zenitsu can be.

Look Up Demon Slayer series: Kimetsu no Yaiba Zenitsu Agatsuma figurine

While most other figures depict Zenitsu as he appears in the original material, this figure takes a cuter, more chibi approach to its design. It features a head almost as large as the rest of Zenitsu's body and equally large eyes to emphasize the cuter aesthetic of most chibi-style figures. This figure is also posed in a sitting position with Zenitsu drawing his legs up to his chest and resting his arms on his knees. Zenitsu's pensive expression has a hint of worry, making it appear as if he is pondering the danger of an upcoming mission. This figure also features a joint in Zenitsu's neck, which allows the user to tilt his head in different directions.

About Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu Agatsuma is one of the main characters in Demon Slayer and often finds himself following the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado , and Inosuke Hashibira. Zenitsu has low self-esteem and is often seen as a pessimist and coward among his peers. However, when it comes to dealing with difficult situations, he can be quite reliable in combat thanks to his Thunder Breath technique. Another notable ability of Zenitsu is his heightened sense of hearing, which perfectly complements Tanjiro's incredible sense of smell. As one of the main characters in the series, Zenitsu has a decent amount of screen time dedicated to him, allowing fans to see the different sides of Zenitsu. While this includes his more timid and cowardly nature, it also allows fans to see how incredibly powerful he can be when needed. This contrast is likely one of the things that made fans fall in love with him.

Other Important Demon Slayer Characters

Other characters from the Demon Slayer series closely related to Zenitsu would include Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado , and Inosuke Hashibira. This group of characters is often sent on missions together and must work together to overcome anything that stands in their way. Tanjiro and Zenitsu generally get along well, likely due to Tanjiro's incredible leadership and kind nature. His relationship with Inosuke, however, is much more volatile, as their personalities and ideologies clash on a fundamental level. Zenitsu's interactions around Tanjiro are very different. Nezuko's characters in the early part of the series are presented as comical, as Zenitsu quickly develops a crush on Nezuko and is easily flustered when she is around. Eventually, however, Zenitsu calms down in her presence and even acts as her bodyguard when needed.
