The main Monster Hunter franchise is a series of action role-playing games produced and published by Capcom. The first game in the series was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2004 and has players taking down monstrous creatures that are several times larger than the avatars they control. The gameplay of each main series Monster Hunter game generally requires players to complete various hunting and gathering quests to obtain important materials that allow them to upgrade their armor and weapons, allowing them to take on even more powerful monsters. Capcom Figure Creators Model: Monster Hunter Thunder Wolf Wyvern Zinogre (Re-Run) Figure

This figure from Capcom's Figure Builder Creators Model line depicts the terrifying Zinogre perched atop a moss-covered stone cliff, on all fours. Its mouth is wide open, making it appear as if it's letting out a deafening roar to intimidate its next opponent. Zinogre's long, spiked tail can be seen hanging behind its massive body. An incredible amount of detail has been put into this particular figure, especially in Zinogre's fur, scales, and spikes. While the figure itself is quite detailed, it's also incredibly colorful. Varying shades of gold and turquoise, Zinogre's signature colors, are painted all over the Wyvern and are accentuated by its light pink mouth. Overall, this figure is moderately sized and reasonably priced, making it perfect for Monster Hunter fans who are particularly fond of Zinogre.

Capcom Figure Builder Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus Vol. 17 Box Set

This box set from Capcom's Figure Builder series includes 6 figures randomly selected from a specific range of different monsters. Since each figure in this series is sold in a blind box, it is possible that duplicates of the same monster may be present in any order. That said, each figure is quite large for the price of the box set. The version of Zinogre that appears in this box set is posed upright with its body low and its tail raised as if preparing to attack. While it is considerably smaller than the previous figure, it still features a decent amount of detail, particularly in the wavy fur along its back and the scales on its legs. This volume also includes Namilelle, Nightshade Paolumu, Acidic Glavenus , Shara Ishvalda, Yian Garuga, and a bonus clear version of Zinogre.

Pop! Games: Monster Hunter - Zinogre Figure

This figure from Funko's popular Pop! Games line takes the terrifying Zinogre and transforms it into an adorable chibi-style collectible figure. While its large head and small body make this version of Zinogre much less menacing, it still possesses all of the monster's deadly weapons, such as its gaping jaws filled with teeth, enormous horns, and sharp claws. Like many other Funko Pop! figures, this version of Zinogre has a simple and vibrant color scheme, opting for deep, saturated shades of yellow and turquoise compared to the original monster's more complex design.

About Zinogre

Zinogre is a Fanged Wyvern from Monster Hunter and has appeared in several mainline games and several different spin-offs. It is a massive beast with deadly claws, teeth, and a tail. Despite Zinogre's incredible size, it is surprisingly agile, making it very adept at both ground and aerial combat, where it can make quick work of its target. Zinogre's most unique ability is its affinity for electricity. When in combat, it can summon Thunderbugs, which act as a source of electricity that Zinogre can then use against its target. Like many other monsters, there are several variants of Zinogre that have appeared across several Monster Hunter games. These variants are named Thunderlord Zinogre, Howling Zinogre, Immortal Zinogre, and FFBE Zinogre.

Other important characters in Monster Hunter

Zinogre is often seen with one type of creature: Thunderbugs. These two have formed a symbiotic relationship that involves the Thunderbugs providing Zinogre with electricity in exchange for protection from other predators. Zinogre can also engage in turf wars with a variety of different monsters, including Brachydios, Glavenus, Rathalos, and Yian Garuga. Other notable creatures often associated with Zinogre are Gargwa and Aptonoth, which are often seen as prey for Zinogre and many other monsters.
