Zoro vs. Killer: Who won the fight?
Zoro vs. Killer: Who Won the Fight? (And Is He Really Stronger?)

One Piece is an anime that certainly has its share of strong and powerful characters. And even though its protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, has been featured most often in our One Piece comparisons, this one will by no means focus on Luffy. Namely, the protagonists of this comparison will be Zoro, who is part of Luffy's crew, and the powerful Killer, another member of the "Worst Generation." In this article, we will analyze both, as we will pit Zoro against Killer to finally determine who is the strongest of the two.
Despite what Killer said, Zoro is stronger and was able to defeat Killer when they crashed in the Ringo region of Wano Country. And while there's no doubt that Killer is a formidable fighter, Zoro is much stronger and has more experience thanks to his various fights and adventures with the Straw Hat Pirates, which is why he is the victor in this fight.
The rest of this article will expand on the answer given above, as we'll compare Zoro and Killer in more detail. Across several categories, you'll see who is the stronger of the two and why our answer is the way it is—that is, why Zoro was ultimately able to defeat Killer in their fight.
In which episode does Zoro fight Killer?
The fight between Zoro and Killer was shown in two episodes of the anime series. It began in episode 933 of the anime, titled "Gyukimaru! Zoro Duels on Oihagi Bridge," and premiered on July 19, 2020. It ended in episode 934 of the anime, titled "A Big Turnover! The Three-Sword Style Overcomes Danger!", which premiered on July 26, 2020.
Physical powers
Zoro is one of the physically strongest characters in the series. He demonstrated his strength while fighting Daz Bones. He easily lifted a building despite his injuries. He is seen training on the Thousand Sunny with one-ton dumbbells. His strength is likely equal to or greater than that of a giant, as he was able to parry a direct blow from Oars with his swords.
After the time skip, Zoro's strength increased considerably. This is evidenced by the fact that he could defeat a Pacifista with a single attack, whereas before the passage of time, he and all his companions would join forces to defeat one. He was able to slice through a pirate ship with a single blow. He was also able to defeat and seriously injure Hody Jones, a fish-man with physical strength above the average for his race, while underwater and having consumed several energy steroids.
One of his greatest feats was defeating Pica in his gigantic form without a single scratch, despite having to rely on Orlumbus for increased mobility and momentum. Zoro has also shown himself to be very agile and fast. An example of this is that in the Whiskey Peak arc, he engaged a large number of Baroque Works agents, slipping through their ranks so quickly that they didn't notice him until he spoke.

Killer is a formidable pirate and fighter. His skills earned him a bounty of 200,000,000 Berries, which is very impressive for a rookie, even within the Grand Line. Like his captain, he could withstand Silvers Rayleigh's Haki. A highly skilled fighter, Killer faces off against another member of the Worst Generation, Roronoa Zoro, who recognizes his abilities and manages to injure him with the inadvertent help of the monk Gyukimaru.
Killer's fighting style appears to be based primarily on speed and agility, which he uses to overpower his opponent before attacking or dodging. He was able to fight his partner Supernova Urouge, even though the latter had not increased his muscle mass.
In all honesty, Killer looks more powerful than Zoro. This is evident just by looking at them. But appearances can be deceiving, as Zoro is extremely strong even if he doesn't look it, and he is stronger than Killer, which is why he gets this point.

Devil Fruit
Roronoa Zoro is a very powerful character. He is known as one of the most powerful characters in the series and one of the best swordsmen in the series; he will likely, by all means, surpass even Mihawk in the future. Now, Zoro's powers and exploits certainly warrant the conclusion that he consumed a Devil Fruit, but is that really true? It isn't—Roronoa Zoro has never eaten a Devil Fruit.
This makes Zoro one of the very few characters (most notable being Shanks and Gol D. Roger) who is extremely powerful but has not actually consumed a Devil Fruit; most other powerful characters have their Devil Fruits to thank for their individual reputations.
The killer consumed a SMILE, which turned out to be defective. Because of this, the only thing the fruit did was take away his ability to swim and express emotions other than laughter. SMILEs are artificial Zoan-type Devil Fruits made from SAD.
They were produced by Donquixote Doflamingo and Caesar Clown and consumed by the Beast Pirates, who formed a division known as the Gifters. SMILEs do not have proper names like normal Devil Fruits, but are instead called "(Animal's Name) SMILEs."
Well, this one was really disappointing for Killer, as he got the short end of the deal. And while neither of them have Devil Fruit powers, Zoro understands because he can still… uh… well… swim and do something other than smile.

RIGHT
Zoro is one of the few people to possess all three forms of Haki. Zoro possesses Royal Haki, the rarest form of Haki, whose users possess the qualities of a king. He is first mentioned as possessing this power by Kaido after Zoro's nine-sword attack. During his fight against King, he uses Royal Haki to coat his swords, a very advanced form, and at the same time, members of the Beasts crew are seen fainting.
He didn't use Haki offensively against Monet, but he still managed to defeat her because she thought he was going to use Haki, and as a result, she would die. Monet's fear at that moment completely destabilizes her. He has learned to imbue his swords with Haki to make them more effective against Haki or Devil Fruit users.
He also used Armament Haki on Pica to slice him, meaning his Haki is more advanced than Pica's. Using Haki also allows him to counter Devil Fruit powers, as he did to temporarily stop the Birdcage.
He first uses Observation in his fight against Nuru, a Fishman capable of blinding his opponents thanks to the lantern on his forehead, even telling him that he only used his eyes to see and that was why he was weak; he used it again to find Caribou in the palace. He also uses it during the Dressrosa Arc to find the whereabouts of the one who stole his sword but also to find Pica during his fight against him.
Killer can use both Observation Haki and Armament Haki, but his level of use in both cases is unknown. This was rather expected, as Killer is not a character strong enough to use all three types of Haki. However, since we do not know his power with his known Haki abilities, we cannot properly assess his power level in this category.
Since Zoro is a rare user of all three forms of Haki, there's no doubt he wins this point. On top of that, we have no idea how powerful Killer is with his two known Haki techniques, which is another argument in Zoro's favor.

Weapons
At the beginning of his pirate journey, Zoro only mastered Santoryu, his conventional fighting style. However, over time, he began to master techniques from other schools, such as Nitoryu, Ittoryu, and Mutouryu. Currently, Zoro and the rest of the crew have improved their abilities to face the New World.
Zoro is known to be able to cut through a Pacifista of the caliber of those found in the Sabaody Archipelago, so it follows that Zoro can relatively easily cut through materials even harder than steel without using Shishi Sonson-type moves, most likely because he has learned to use busoshoku haki.

Killer carries two scythes in his fists, which he calls Punishers, which he can spin using a mechanism on both wrists and can be used as sickles. These weapons can also be used to block other weapons, leaving the enemy open for Killer to strike the enemy's flank or other exposed areas.
This, combined with the agility he has demonstrated in combat so far and the idea that he is unafraid to kill, makes him a formidable foe. As Kamazo, Killer wields two massive scythes that are not attached to his body. However, one of them was stolen by Gyukimaru after his match with Zoro.
The Killer's Punishers may be powerful, there's no denying that, but they can't match Zoro's sword, as their fight showed. Zoro also wins on this point.

Roranoa Zoro vs. Killer: Who Wins?
We could actually give you a good breakdown of the things we wrote above, but that wouldn't really do the trick compared to what we decided to do. Namely, since Zoro and Killer actually fought in the manga, we thought it best to just recap those fights to confirm what we said above.
After meeting Kaido, Killer was imprisoned and nursed back to health by Kurozumi Orochi, who gave him a SMILE that turned out to be defective. His mask was removed, and Killer served as Kurozumi Orochi's assassin under the alias "Kamazo." In the Flower Capital of Wano Kuni, a newspaper vendor shouts that the "ghosts" from the northern cemetery have returned and are causing a stir.
On 8th Street in the 2nd arrondissement, someone has been killed, and the murderer is none other than Kamazo. Although his identity is known, he has yet to be captured. He then reappears in Ringo, where he makes his first real appearance. He pursues a geisha and O-Toko but is confronted by Zoro, who goes to help the geisha and Toko.
It turns out he works for the Shogun and easily holds his own against Zoro, to the point where he manages to injure him when he is distracted by Gyukimaru. Zoro then takes the opportunity to grab his scythe frozen in his shoulder, places it in his mouth, thinking that it will do the trick, and uses it to attack Kamazo with an "Onigiri", inflicting an improvised blow with all three blades.
Kamazo fell defeated, after which he was arrested and imprisoned in Udon, for having failed Orochi's mission. He met his former captain, Kid, on the way, and the two prisoners were then tortured by Queen. Queen had them tortured by submerging them underwater, and they only emerged when Big Mom attacked Queen in the form of a brachiosaurus and struck her on the pelvis, breaking it and allowing them to breathe.
And so the fight between Killer and Zoro ended. Zoro is the clear winner here, as shown in both the manga and anime. It was a fast-paced fight for one of the world's best swordsmen, and Killer simply couldn't match Zoro's skills.
